  2.                Last Minute Changes to Maverick 4.00
  3.                                and
  4.                       Special Parameter Notes
  5. ======================================================================

  7. Configuration: 
  8.    A new option has been added - "DOS Delay". Sets the
  9.    amount of time, in seconds, to wait between file access
  10.    functions during parameter execution. Default value 4
  11.    seconds. This delay value is only necessary to prevent 
  12.    the occasional DOS requestor from popping up. AmigaDOS
  13.    1.3 users should set this to at least 1. AmigaDOS 2.0x
  14.    users can set this to zero for most parameters.

  16. Copy screen:   
  17.    A completely new copy screen has been created for
  18.    Maverick 4.00. The track display is larger and has been
  19.    divided into separate source and target areas. During a 
  20.    disk copy, a green or blue plus sign indicates a good
  21.    read or write and a red minus sign means a read or write
  22.    error. To select new source and target drives, click
  23.    the appropriate icon on each side.
  24.  
  25. Bypass: 
  26.    OVERRIDE PARAMETERS ONLY! This new option will bypass
  27.    the disk copy and proceed directly to parameter
  28.    execution. You can select this option by pressing the 'B' key.
  29.    You will be presented with a directory
  30.    requester. Select the directory or disk where Maverick
  31.    can find the program files it needs to modify. This
  32.    option is ideal for those who already have the program
  33.    installed on their hard disk or another floppy disk. If
  34.    you plan to BYPASS to floppy disk, you should insert the
  35.    disk BEFORE selecting BYPASS to ensure that it will
  36.    appear in the directory requester. KeyDisk Decoder
  37.    parameters must still be run in the normal fashion.

  41.             LEMMINGS
  42.  
  43. Parameter Part 1:
  44.  
  45.    After you have run part 1, boot the Lemmings copy as you
  46.    normally would. When the screen turns GREEN, insert the
  47.    ORIGINAL Lemmings disk 1 and press the left mouse
  48.    button. When the screens turns RED, re-insert the
  49.    Lemmings COPY and press the left mouse button. After a
  50.    few minutes, the screen will turn BLUE. Remove the copy.
  51.    Reboot Maverick.

  53. Parameter Part 2:
  54.  
  55.    Select LEMMINGS Disk 1 Part 2. Before selecting "OK", set
  56.    the source and target drives to the same drive. Select
  57.    "OK" and insert the LEMMINGS COPY created by Part 1.
  58.    When the parameter is completed, you will have a LEMMINGS
  59.    disk 1 that boots much faster and bypasses the demo.

  64.             POPULOUS
  65.  
  66.    This parameter only works with the version included in
  67. the Sim City/Populous bundle pack distributed by Electronic Arts/Infogrames.
  68. Sorry! The other version is an even tougher nut to crack, but I'll keep
  69. trying! The "parametered" version of Populous will bypass the intro/menu
  70. screen and go directly to the game. NOTE: when the parameter ends, a message
  71. is displayed to not use Workbench to run the Populous backup, instead use
  72. IconX to execute a script file to run it through a CLI/SHELL. If you are
  73. autobooting Populous from floppy, the program will not load Workbench, but will
  74. instead execute Populous directly...

  76.             KEYDISKDECODER
  77.  
  78.    An "Open Count" option has been added to the KeyDisk
  79. Decoder. If the parameter crashes during execution, trying increasing
  80. the count by 1 at a time until the parameter succeeds. If the program
  81. takes away control of the machine from KeyDisk decoder, try decreasing
  82. the count by 1 at a time.

  85.    Maverick is in a period of transition. The new Copy screen
  86. will, by version 5, contain all of the functions of the User 
  87. Control Center. There will also be some support for user-selectable
  88. fonts. The Main screen functions MAY also be integrated into the Copy
  89. screen.
  90.    We hope you enjoy the improvements to Maverick 4.00.
  91. Future improvements
  92. and additional utilities will appear in greater volume and frequency 
  93. -IF- sales and interest justify the time and expense. So ... if you know
  94. people who have "borrowed" Maverick, encourage them to buy it and register.
  95.    Support the products that you use and like or watch them
  96. fade into oblivion...

  161. the unprotected version. Ignore the numerous  read-errors on the disk
